This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity (NOT contract).
Responsibilities of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical evaluations for substance use disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Participate in the multidisciplinary treatment teams and work collaboratively with other disciplines in planning for the treatment of their patients
- Medication management to include, but not limited to, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Assess the clinical appropriateness of admissions and collaborate with the referral and intake department.
- Work with attending psychiatrists in caring for patients and perform psychiatric assessments, and provide ongoing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide individual therapy and/or medication management as needed for patients under their care
- Create individualized plans using evidence-based practices, including therapy and medication management.
- Complete all documentation requirements legibly and within appropriate timeframes
- Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA standards.
Qualifications of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York
- Must be licensed as a PMHNP
- DEA required
- Experience working with patients ranging in age from 13 and up preferred
- Experience working with co-occurring disorders (mental health and addiction)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Compensation and Schedule:
- Annual salary starts around $180K but can be considerably more based on years of experience
- Monday - Friday, with the ability to be flexible with schedule
- Relocation assistance offered up to a certain amount with proof of receipts
