Position Description: Pediatric Hospitalist for low-volume program, coverage of level II nursery and ED. Onsite rounding 6-8 hours per day and birth attendance based on criteria.
Treatment of newborns to young adults ages 0-21; admit/discharge H&P, management.

Are they required to perform special procedures? Yes
Case Mix: Arterial blood sampling, Biopsy, simple excisional skin, Bladder taps, Endotracheal Intubation, I&D of superficial abscesses, Laceration repair, Simple Lumbar puncture, Peripheral arterial puncture, Reduction, simple closed extremity fractures, Reduction, uncomplicated joint dislocations; frenotomy or frenulectomy, Ventilator Management, Initiate only (Per MWMC privileging form)
Describe the daily shift requirements: Coverage of 24-hour period or shift; includes day time rounding 6-8 hours, remainder of shift is unrestricted call.
What are the coverage needs per month? Up to 15 days (24-hr)
What is the daily patient volume? 0-8 patients per day
Describe the make-up of support staff (techs, nursing, mid-levels, etc.)? Techs, nurses, OB/GYNs dedicated OB OR and anesthesia staff
