Licensing and Credentialing Specialist

JOB PURPOSE
The Licensing and Credentialing Specialist is responsible for verifying the identity and qualifications of candidate providers. They are also responsible for data entering, gathering, and primary source verification of healthcare practitioner information, including in depth, detailed, or challenging research of information. This position will be responsible for obtaining and renewing licenses for locums physicians and advance practice providers and managing the state licensure process. Additional responsibilities will include working with providers to ensure they are credentialed and privileged for assignments and supporting the credentialing team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Run a full desk (licensing and credentialing) to assist providers to ensure they have the correct licensure and credentials to work with our clients.
• Review and authenticate provider credentials, qualifications, licenses, certifications, and other relevant documents submitted by individuals or organizations, and ensure that the provided information is accurate and meets the required standards in time for the provider’s start date.
• Verify Provider information per company policies.
• Compliantly complete provider licensing in time for their start date by applying for license, obtaining updates, and troubleshooting, according to state requirements and legal and regulatory standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with providers, organizations, licensing boards and facilities to obtain necessary documents, to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
• Provide white glove concierge customer service by keeping the Provider, MSOs, Boards, and internal staff informed of each file’s progress and stay involved where necessary to move throughout the process.
• Ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures, legal and regulatory requirements, and ensure proper use of company resources.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive licensing and provider information in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Prioritize work efforts according to urgency level and impact on the Company and respond quickly to Company needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• NAMSS Certification is a plus
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• 1+ years’ experience within Physician/CRNA/locum tenens or similar licensing required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role functions in a home office environment. This role must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout 100% of the duties.
This position frequently needs to use the following:
- Computers
- Microsoft Office
- Multiple monitors
HOURS / SHIFTS:
Monday-Friday, hours to be determined with manager. This position may be requested to work afterhours and weekends to meet short deadlines, and to be responsive at times convenient to Providers and facilities.
TRAVEL:
Travel is generally not required, however there may be periodic company gatherings which the role must attend.
