Streamline Your Credentialing Process: IMN Enterprises Helps You Conquer Obstacles

Credential Locum Providers Without Delays

With healthcare staffing shortages at an all-time high, contracting locum tenens providers to close gaps and lighten the workload of medical staff is now more important than ever. Unfortunately, credentialing locum tenens providers can be difficult, costing healthcare organizations time and money. When a provider or agency becomes unresponsive during this process, it may result in a locum provider starting their assignment late, or worse, not starting at all.

In addition to matching qualified locum tenens healthcare professionals with open assignments nationwide, IMN Enterprises’ internal credentialing department serves as a true extension of our clients’ medical staffing offices. Our team focuses on building excellent relationships—and custom credentialing workflows—that meet each client’s standards.

Simply put, our credentialing department provides a smart solution that results in locum tenens providers starting their assignments on time, every time.

What to Expect From Our Credentialing Team:

What to expect when you partner with IMN
  1. Quick communication

When your organization partners with IMN, our Senior Vice President of Credentialing Services, Teresa Barker, initiates a meeting with your medical staffing office (or team) to best understand your credentialing processes and obtain your lists of requirements, committee dates, and critical deadlines.

2. One point of contact

Then, one of our credentialing specialists is assigned to you, serving as the main point of contact between the provider and your organization. This eliminates potential communication hurdles and streamlines the file-building process. When our healthcare provider is submitted and accepted for one of your locum tenens roles, the assigned credentialing specialist will prepare all necessary paperwork and begin the facility application on behalf of the provider.

3. Files completed on time

Once the provider's application is completed by our credentialing specialist, it is thoroughly reviewed and signed by the provider and returned to your medical staffing office in a timely manner. To expedite the process further, all necessary contact information is provided for primary source verification.

As the application is processed by your team, our credentialing specialist will help locate any missing items, help with verifications and/or references, and assist in any way needed to ensure the file is completed on time. At your organization's request, we can also work with the locum provider to complete all payor and enrollment paperwork. Our credentialing services team is committed to working with your team to as a true partner in getting qualified providers privileged to care for your patients.

When the provider is fully credentialed and working, a IMN credentialing specialist will remain in touch with your organization, ensuring that future locum tenens placements continue to be successful. Further, both our licensing and credentialing departments will ensure that the working provider’s expirables are kept current, so they remain compliant with your organization.

4. Peace of mind

We understand that some start dates are urgent. Our credentialing team is robust, covering all four time zones; you will always receive the support you need for each placement across your organization’s locations and practice environments.

In addition, prior to privileging and in close collaboration with our quality assurance department, each of our healthcare providers is carefully pre-screened to ensure they have a clean background. During this process, we gather relevant documentation ahead of time for future placements. If a provider has a background, they are run through our risk management team to clear them to work with us prior to any submissions.

Our internal verification process includes (but is not limited to) verifying education, boards, licenses, exclusions, and gathering references. IMN Enterprises has a very thorough vetting process, and we have the flexibility to add additional items as necessary to meet a client’s specific requirements.

Our Commitment to Excellence

Having gaps in healthcare coverage becomes costly for organizations, because it decreases the number of patients seen and adversely affects revenue. Our widely recognized credentialing services department prides itself on providing exceptional service for our clients. Though the credentialing process may be stressful, our team works hard to ensure that our locum providers have documents prepared well in advance so that they start their assignments on time and your patients receive excellent healthcare.
